The last full week of September is when home life quietly changes gear. Mornings are darker, the first cold snap has people digging out sweaters, and the “reset” energy that came with the school year has settled into an actual routine. It is also, not coincidentally, the week Amazon’s Kitchen & Dining and Smart Home best-seller lists start to look cozy: drinkware, lunch gear, ambient lighting and a fresh wave of indoor cameras for the months when everyone is home more.
We went through both charts this week and picked seven products that are genuinely climbing right now. Every listing below is sold by Amazon or the brand itself (no third-party markups), and we checked each one against the manufacturer’s own store price to make sure the Amazon listing is at or below normal retail. Five of these are brand-new to the Tryendz storefront this week; the last two are existing favorites that are still sitting near the top of their categories.

1. HydroJug Traveler 40 oz Insulated Tumbler
For a couple of years the 40-ounce tumbler conversation had exactly two names in it. This month a third one has pushed into the number-two spot in Amazon’s entire Kitchen & Dining category, and it is the HydroJug Traveler. It is triple-wall insulated stainless steel, it holds a full 40 ounces, and it has the two features people actually argue about in tumbler reviews: a handle that is comfortable to carry for real, and a flip-straw lid that stays leak-resistant when the cup tips over in a car or gym bag.
The rubber non-slip base is a small detail that matters on a desk or a treadmill shelf, it fits standard car cup holders, and it is dishwasher safe. The color range is huge, which is part of why it does so well as a gift, and the price on Amazon is currently below what the brand charges on its own site.
2. KitchenAid Classic Multifunction Can Opener
Not every trending product is new. The KitchenAid Classic can opener has been on Amazon for years, has close to 90,000 ratings, and this week it is a top-ten Kitchen & Dining best seller again, which tells you something about how many people upgrade their kitchen drawer once soup and chili season starts. The stainless steel cutting wheel is genuinely sharp, the oversized knob turns without the wrist-cramping effort of a cheap opener, and the soft ergonomic handles are comfortable for anyone with limited grip strength.
There is a bottle opener built into the head, it hand-washes in seconds, and KitchenAid backs it with a one-year hassle-free replacement. It is sold and shipped by Amazon, at the same price KitchenAid lists it for, and it is the kind of small, reliable upgrade that gets used several times a week for a decade.
3. Lifewit Insulated Lunch Bag (12-Can, 9L)
Lunch bags spike every September, but this year the Lifewit medium insulated tote is the one climbing the chart, with more than 60,000 ratings and a top-ten placement in Kitchen & Dining. The 12-can capacity is the sweet spot: it swallows a standard meal-prep container plus fruit, a yogurt and a bottle without becoming a second backpack, and the thick insulation keeps everything cool through a long morning.
The interior liner is leak-resistant and wipes clean, the outer fabric is water-repellent, and it comes with both a padded handle and a detachable shoulder strap so it can hang off a laptop bag. It is currently well under half of its list price and sold by the brand’s own store, which is exactly the kind of deal we like to put on the site.
4. Govee RGBIC Floor Lamp Basic
When the sun sets before dinner, lighting becomes the whole mood of a room, and the Govee RGBIC Floor Lamp Basic is the easiest entry point into smart ambient lighting we have found. RGBIC is Govee’s name for multi-segment color: different sections of the lamp can show different colors at the same time, so you get flowing gradients up the corner of a room instead of one flat shade. At 1,000 lumens it is bright enough to actually light a reading corner, not just decorate it.
You get 64 preset scenes, a warm-white mode for reading, a built-in mic that syncs colors to music or movie audio, and control from the Govee Home app, Alexa or Google Assistant. It assembles in a few minutes with no tools, and it is currently discounted well below Govee’s own list price. If you already own the Govee smart bulbs further down this list, they all live in the same app.
5. TP-Link Tapo C211 2K Pan/Tilt Indoor Camera (2-Pack)
Indoor cameras always trend when people start spending more time inside with pets and packages, and the Tapo C211 two-pack is the best-value listing on the Smart Home chart right now. Each camera records in 2K, pans a full 360 degrees and tilts 114 degrees so one unit can sweep an entire room, and motion tracking will follow a dog or a toddler across the space.
Night vision, a built-in siren, two-way audio and a privacy mode are all standard, and footage can be saved to a microSD card (up to 512GB) with no subscription required, which is the detail that separates Tapo from most of the competition. It works with Alexa and Google Home, setup takes a couple of minutes per camera through the Tapo app, and the two-pack is sold and shipped by Amazon at a price below TP-Link’s own store.
6. Owala FreeSip 24 oz Insulated Water Bottle
The Owala FreeSip has been on Tryendz for a while, and this week it is the number-one product in Amazon’s entire Kitchen & Dining category, so it earns a spot here. The trick is the two-in-one lid: tilt it to sip through the built-in straw, or lift it to swig from the wide spout, with a push-button flip top that locks so it never opens in a bag.
It is double-wall insulated to keep water cold for 24 hours, the carry loop doubles as a lock, it fits in a cup holder, and the cup and lid are dishwasher safe. Owala’s color drops are a genuine phenomenon, which is why the bottle keeps reappearing on gift lists every season.
7. Govee Smart Light Bulbs A19 (4-Pack)
Our second returning favorite is the Govee A19 smart bulb four-pack, still parked in the top fifteen of the Smart Home chart. These are the bulbs to start with if you have never tried smart lighting: they screw into normal lamps, they support Matter so they work natively with Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home, and the warm-to-cool white range covers everything from bright morning kitchen light to a dim, warm evening glow.
Sixteen million colors and scene modes are there when you want them, but the real win is scheduling: lamps that fade on at sunset and off at bedtime make a house feel cozier without anyone touching a switch. Pair them with the floor lamp above and the whole living room runs from one app.
How we picked these
Tryendz tracks Amazon’s Best Sellers charts in Kitchen & Dining and Smart Home every week and looks for products that are actually moving, not just heavily advertised. Before anything goes on the site we check that the listing is sold by Amazon or the brand itself, that the price is at or below the manufacturer’s own list price, and that the product page matches what is being described. Third-party reseller listings and inflated “scalper” prices get skipped or removed. We refresh the storefront weekly, so if you are looking for what is trending in home, kitchen and smart-home gear right now, the shop page is always the current list.
Prices and availability are accurate as of the publish date and can change at any time; always check the Amazon listing for the current price.
